This Privacy Policy explains how BrightLink (ABN 85 187 609 642) handles personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). It applies to www.brightlink.com.au and the BrightLink service.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information — your name, email, and business details.
  • Client & booking data — information you or your clients enter to make bookings (such as a client's name and contact details). You are the controller of this data; we process it on your behalf.
  • Usage data — log and device information used to operate and secure the Service.

We do not store full payment card numbers; payments are handled by our payment processor.

2. How we use information

  • to provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • to send transactional messages such as booking confirmations and reminders;
  • to secure the Service and prevent abuse;
  • to comply with our legal obligations.

3. Disclosure

We disclose personal information to service providers who help us run the Service — including our cloud hosting and database provider and our payment processor — under contractual confidentiality and security obligations. We do not sell personal information.

Data is hosted in Australia (Sydney region). We apply technical and organisational safeguards including encryption of sensitive client contact details at rest, tenant isolation, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

5. Retention & deletion

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You can export or request deletion of your data; on account closure, data may be deleted after a reasonable grace period.

7. Overseas disclosure
